Everything since Halloween...

So, here's what you missed (while I didn't blog for almost three whole months)...

We spend a lot of time standing at the window these days. Mostly just watching the street, but occassionally catching the garbage truck or sometimes a squirrel. (If she likes other animals as much as she likes squirrels, the zoo is going to be a good time this spring.)

Lucy continues to love all music, but especially James on guitar.

One Saturday morning, James came home from a work meeting to find Lucy and I industriously at work in the backyard. He thought it was "cute" and so took quite a few pictures. It was a beautiful day out and Lucy and I had some fun.

This one is from Thanksgiving, Lucy and great-grandpa Brinker being silly (yes, that is a wig on great-grandpa...)Home-made cinnamon rolls to celebrate St. Lucy's feast day in Decemeber. Apparently this is a tradition in many countries, and we are more than happy with carrying it on. They put us in quite the butter-sugar coma though.

This year, we put up our first family Christmas tree, which felt quite momentous. Lucy "helped" hang the first ornament.

We attended a Tacky Christmas Sweater Party, and though James and I looked ridiculous, Lucy just ended up looking cute.

Lucy is a much better solid food eater these days, and her meal-time antics always crack us up. Here is the classic "I'm biting the spoon and will not let go."

Silly me, I took no pictures of our lovely Christmas gatherings. Here a couple of pictures from our trip to Florida for the FOCUS National Conference. We got to see lots of friends, including Lucy's godfather. Also, we got to wear summer clothes for a few days and play around in a fancy hotel. All in all, we had a wonderful time. Except for the drive there and the drive back which was a nightmare made even worse by the fact that we all had colds.

I still have no idea how to make images turn... anyone?
