Lucy and Charlie like to sit on the couch together and watch "Signing Time." Lucy holds him steady for a good deal of it, and we all learn sign language. It's a good time.
The rest of the pictures are from two visits we took to a farm. First, we went with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Group we are a part of. We liked it so much, we took a field trip there with Lucy's playschool.
It was such a fun farm. You got to feed goats and cows, take a hay ride, pick a pumpkin, pick an ear of popcorn and pick a cotton boll.
Here is a surprisingly brave Lucy feeding goats.
Here is the head farmer instructing a special ed teacher on feeding cows.
Lucy feeding a cow. For someone who hates getting their hands sticky, I was very surprised at how much she loved this.
Lucy was cracking up at these two goats peeking at her.
Picking a pumpkin: a very important decision.
Observation bee hive!
Here begins the trip we made with Lucy's playschool friends.
Funny what makes a preschooler's day. These girls were so pleased that they both could sit on this stump. You can see in the back left another friend getting upset because she wants to sit too. Luckily we fit her on too!
Through the corn maze.
Picking a pumpkin is just as serious the second time around.
Unbridled joy on the bumpiest hay ride ever.
Notice them all holding hands. So sweet.
One of our newest friends.
Lucy and T, BFFs as long as neither is jealous of the other's accessories.
Feeding the cows. The farmer told us they are Jersey cows and one is named Snooki-- har har har.
Feeding the chickens.
We will definitely be heading back to this farm! They all loved it.
Not too much else is new around here. We're all feeling a little tired after a long October. Charlie has had it the roughest. He's lost some weight, had a double ear infection, and just had an endoscopy today. We don't know the results of it yet, but hopefully with soon. We're hunkering down this weekend, resting preparing for "Frankenstorm."
