One of my unfulfilled dreams...

...is to be a great photographer. I love pictures, and I wish I could take better ones. I can't tell you how many times lately I've caught Lucy doing something cute and took a picture of it only to find that what was captured on camera does not at all compare to the cuteness that I saw. Ah well, one dream at a time. I'm in the middle of realizing a dream of being a good cook and baker, so maybe photographer can come after that.

In the meantime, I am happy to have some very talented friends. Our friends Colby and Elisabeth visited us from Belgium recently, and Elisabeth took some beautiful pictures of Lucy. Here are some of my favorites:






Elisabeth, if you still lived in St. Louis, I would buy you donuts all the time in exchange for such beautiful Lucy pictures.

In fact, I wish Elisabeth was going to be in town tomorrow, because Lucy is getting baptized! I'll be sure to post some pictures and stories about that soon.

Other Lucy news is that she is becoming incredibly verbal all of a sudden! It's been so wonderful. She's been trying out all kinds of coos and goos and ahhs. Her favorite place to talk and smile is the changing pad. Go figure-- just a few weeks ago she cried during every diaper change. Things change so fast!

Well, I'm off to decorate a cake for Lucy's big day tomorrow! Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful spring weather these days!
