The kids in their Easter finest. We enjoyed a beautiful Easter Vigil service and came home to Easter cookies and ice cream. Charlie's tie is my favorite part of this picture. I bought it knowing there was a good chance he would despise it and refuse to wear it. But I will always remember the look of pride and joy that lit up his face when I brought it out and put it on him that night. As it turned out, he just loved having a tie just like daddy.
The next morning Lucy and I dug up the Alleluia, which we buried on Ash Wednesday.
There it is!
Despite my best efforts, some water had gotten into the box and made the colors run a little.
She was very upset, until we decided that it made it look like a rainbow.
Egg hunt!
Charlie enjoying some Easter egg treats.
We came home from our preschool group one day and I set Charlie sitting on the couch. I went into the kitchen to start making lunch and came back to find this. Apparently he started trying to get down, but was just too tired. Poor guy!
Lucy's birthday bike in action!
One of Charlie's Easter gifts was an old fashioned music box. He loves it so much, and we love the beautiful music he makes with it. He always sits and turns the crank very carefully, and then smiles at us in delight.
Every once in a while he will stop to make his "wow" face.
